You won’t just be maintaining processes, you’ll be building them from scratch, working directly with our Chief of Staff to bring our accounting function in-house and set the foundation for a finance team that scales with us.

Financial Accounting Own the day‑to‑day financial accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger) Account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance Support month‑end close and preparation of HGB financial statements Billing & Revenue Accounting Manage customer invoicing and billing operations Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting for SaaS contracts Reconcile contracts, invoices and revenue positions Payroll Run payroll processing end‑to‑end Coordinate with payroll providers and social security institutions Ensure full compliance with payroll tax and social security regulations Tax & Compliance Prepare VAT returns (USt‑Voranmeldungen) Support annual financial statements and audits Collaborate closely with our external tax consultants with the goal of gradually bringing processes in-house Process Building Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting workflows Help build scalable accounting structures as we grow toward 3x revenue Qualifications Formal qualification in accounting or finance: e.g.
Steuerfachangestellte/r, Bilanzbuchhalter/in, or equivalent degree. Structured, precise and comfortable working independently. Fluent German (C1 or above) and fluent English. Solid knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB). Experience with both financial accounting and payroll. Hands‑on DATEV experience.
Tech‑savvy mindset: open to automation tools and AI in daily work. 4-5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a startup or SME environment. Experience in or curiosity about SaaS business models is a strong plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
