You will report directly to our Head of Tax, working in close, direct collaboration with her on the international matters she oversees. Depending on your profile and interests, there is scope to take on increasing responsibility over time – for example, independently managing specific international topics or foreign entities.

Responsibilities Coordinating and managing our external tax advisors – ensuring consistent standards for the tax compliance of our fund vehicles and on-time delivery across all entities Independently reviewing and validating externally prepared tax returns for our fund vehicles (predominantly domestic partnerships), as well as the corporate entities within our acquisition structures Providing tax support for ongoing business matters – including distributions, notification and reporting obligations (Sec. 138 German Fiscal Code), and share transfers Handling tax-related investor communications and responding to investor inquiries Supporting entities through tax assessment procedures (tax notices, audits, appeals) and monitoring deadlines, working closely with external advisors Supporting the Head of Tax on international tax matters such as double tax treaty questions and German controlled foreign company rules (AStG), as well as the tax oversight of foreign structures and entities Contributing to the standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of recurring tax processes – including through the use of existing AI-powered tools Acting as a point of contact for management and other in-house functions, in particular Accounting Profile A completed degree in business or law with a focus on tax, or vocational training as a certified tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r) with a relevant advanced qualification (e.g., Steuerfachwirt/in), or a comparable qualification At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in tax, ideally with a tax advisory or audit firm focused on private equity or closed-end funds – or in an in-house tax function In-depth experience with partnership structures and co-entrepreneurships (Mitunternehmerschaften) Solid knowledge of German income tax law, along with initial experience in international tax A German tax advisor qualification (Steuerberaterexamen) is a plus, but not a requirement A structured, analytical, and meticulous way of working, paired with a hands‑on mentality and a strong sense of ownership Strong team spirit and communication skills when collaborating with neighboring teams Openness to new tools and technologies, particularly in process automation and AI-supported ways of working Excellent written and spoken German and English Why Us?

This role is part of our in-house tax function, which oversees the tax affairs of our fund structures, acquisition vehicles, and investors, among other things.
