Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.
• Lead and manage the finance and accounting teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative remote work environment.
• Manage capital structure, debt financing, equity raises, and investor relations activities.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors, influencing key business decisions.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend strategies for profitability improvement and cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
• Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, conducting financial due diligence.
• Ensure robust internal controls and governance frameworks are in place across all financial functions.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a CFO or equivalent role.
• Extensive experience within the mining or natural resources industry, understanding commodity markets and project finance.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex financial operations for international companies.
• Proven experience in capital markets, debt and equity financing, and M&A transactions.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems, and advanced data analysis tools.
• Must have a dedicated home office setup and reliable high-speed internet connection for seamless remote work.
• Experience managing remote teams and distributed operations is essential.
