Specify and procure equipment and components, managing vendors through to delivery Build and commission the plant, then operate it and run the scale-up campaigns Carry out sampling and clean data acquisition across the experimental campaigns Contribute to the engineering - P&IDs and PFDs, mass and energy balances Translate experimental data into models and equipment specifications Take part in HAZOPs and safety reviews Think while you execute - recognise when a setup won’t deliver reliable data and solve it yourself Close collaboration within an interdisciplinary, international team What we are looking for Must-haves: A degree in process or chemical engineering or similar (university or UAS); hands-on training very welcome A strong hands-on mentality and working knowledge of typical unit operations (distillation, extraction, evaporation) Ability to read and contribute to P&IDs and PFDs, a solid grounding in process safety, plus basic automation and data-acquisition know-how Experience with pilot/experimental plants and clean documentation; independent, structured, communicative; fluent German and English; available at short notice Nice-to-haves: Solids handling (filtration, suspensions, bulk solids); reaction engineering or high-pressure process experience Familiarity with plant safety frameworks such as ATEX and PED Scripting for data analysis (Python/MATLAB), automation/SCADA experience, or a recycling/separation background Even if you don't match all of the requirements above, we are curious to hear why you believe you are a great fit for this role.
