Tasks • Operate and improve our Kubernetes-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, keeping production workloads healthy and performant • Help modernize our authorization and authentication services for better scalability and security • Implement and maintain deployment pipelines with a focus on consistency, automation, and reproducibility using tools like Ansible • Contribute to the design of inter-service communication patterns that keep our distributed system resilient • Support cloud security practices including certificate management, access controls, and operational compliance • Build internal tooling and management capabilities for cloud components such as messaging systems and databases • Develop and maintain redundancy and high-availability strategies as the platform scales Requirements • Practical experience with Linux, containers, and cloud infrastructure — whether from work, coursework, or internships • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts (deployments, services, networking) and a willingness to deepen that knowledge in production • Some hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform or a comparable cloud provider • Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management (e.g.
